Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the braindumpi app and website. By downloading or using braindumpi, you agree to them. We've kept them short and readable.
01The license
braindumpi grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on the Macs you own or control. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent the app's licensing or quota systems. The app, its name, and its branding remain our property.
02The free tier
braindumpi is free to use with a weekly quota of 2,000 words per week. The free tier is genuinely free — no credit card, no trial that silently converts. Free-tier dictation uses exactly the same speech engines as Pro. When you install, you get 14 days of Pro features to try; if you don't upgrade, you simply continue on the free tier and are never charged.
03Subscriptions and Lifetime
- Monthly — $6/month. Renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- Annual — $32/year. Renews automatically each year until you cancel.
- Lifetime — $470 one-time. A single payment for perpetual access to Pro features, including future updates. No recurring charges.
Paid plans unlock unlimited words and Pro features. Subscriptions renew at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel a subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Polar, and by purchasing you also agree to Polar's applicable terms.
04Refunds
14-day refund window. If braindumpi isn't for you, request a refund within 14 days of any Monthly, Annual, or Lifetime purchase and we'll refund it, no questions asked. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

05Acceptable use
You agree to use braindumpi lawfully. You will not use it to create or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, to violate others' rights, or to interfere with the app's operation or others' use of it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service or breach these terms.
06Privacy
Your dictation is transcribed and cleaned up on your device; your audio and transcripts never reach our servers. What we do and don't collect is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
07Disclaimer of warranties
braindumpi is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of transcription, or uninterrupted availability. Speech recognition is imperfect; you are responsible for reviewing dictated text before relying on it.
08Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, braindumpi will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continuing to use braindumpi after a change means you accept the updated terms.
